Multi-Stage Document Attestation: The Challenge is how?
An employer or government body in UAE is unlikely to accept an unverified certificate when you present a foreign qualification. To establish the authenticity of the document, it has to pass through several layers of authentication.
Our client contacted Wadi Alhuroof Translation Services from Abu Dhabi. He was required to have his Russian educational diploma verified for official work in the UAE. The client was outside of Dubai, so he needed an end to end service provider that was able to make the process smooth for him instead of him having to travel back and forth between government offices.
Step-by-Step Execution: How We Handled the Process
Step 1: Initial Enquiry & Scanned Document Review
- The client contacted our customer support team on 7th September 2026 regarding the procedures to get a certified translation service in Dubai for a Russian diploma and for the diploma to be attested.
- Action Taken: The team asked for clear scans of documents to be provided for review of the diploma and the marks transcript supplement.
- Initial Coordination was done through communication channels such as WhatsApp +971 52 796 9655 and e-mail info@wadialhuroof.com to enable easy file sharing.
Step 2: Clear Quotation & Process Explanation
To give the client total peace of mind, we provided a clear, upfront cost breakdown before initiating any work.
| Service Component |
Quoted Amount (AED) |
| Russian Consulate Attestation |
AED 600 |
| UAE MOFA Attestation |
AED 220 |
| Total Quoted Service Charge |
AED 820 |
Client Assurance: The client asked if there would be any additional charges later. We informed him that the service fee would be AED 820. When he paid, he was charged an automatic gateway fee of AED 23.32, bringing the total to AED 843.32, which is all itemised on his digital receipt.
We also clarified the proper sequence of operations the document needs to be first stamped by the Russian consulate and then stamped by the MOFA stamp in UAE, and then stamped by the official document translation, which incorporates all the stamps.
Step 3: Document Processing & Attestation Pipeline
Upon payment on September 7, 2026, our team immediately started the multi-stage attestation process:
- The Russian Consular Verification was completed on September 9, 2026.
- Attestation issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), UAE on 11th of September 2026.
Step 4: Translation, Discrepancy Spotting, & Quality Assurance
With all government stamps secured, our qualified translators drafted the official legal translation. During our internal quality control check, our translator noticed a critical detail:
- The Discrepancy: Surnames of client’s wife on her Emirates ID was not the same as the name on the diploma (diploma issued before marriage).
- Our intervention: We asked questions and checked with the client what the surname should be changed to, rather than making an assumption, or going through with the change anyway.
- Resolution: The client requested the name to be translated as it was on the original diploma. We revised the draft accordingly, and had it finally signed by him before affixing our official legal translation signature.
Step 5: Secure Delivery to Abu Dhabi
Finalization of physical stamped documents confirmed on 14th September 2026 and the delivery address confirmed as Abu Dhabi where the team organized courier dispatch directly to the client’s residence.
